MT4 supports automated trading using Expert Advisors and customizable indicators for advanced analysis. Our platform offers real-time price feeds and execution speeds capable of handling over 1000 orders per second. Spreads start as low as 0.3 pips on major currency pairs, with leverage up to 1:2000 available for professional accounts.

Traders benefit from multiple order types such as market, pending, and stop-loss orders. Integration with our liquidity providers guarantees stable price quotes and fast execution. The platform accommodates over 200 instruments including forex, metals, and indices. We continuously optimize the MT4 environment to ensure reliable connectivity and seamless trading experiences for Ugandan clients.

MT4’s interface is designed for efficiency, with customizable charts and direct market access. Our risk management algorithms operate alongside MT4 to protect client funds. Overall, the platform balances advanced features with user-friendly operation tailored to Uganda’s market conditions.

System Requirements and Installation

Desktop Installation Process

Begin by downloading the MT4 setup file from our official Exness Uganda site. Ensure your device runs Windows 7 or later and has at least 50MB free disk space. Mac users can install the native Mac version or use the web terminal for browser access. Run the installer with administrator rights for proper setup.

The installation wizard configures server connections automatically and creates shortcuts. The process completes in under three minutes on most devices. After installation, open MT4 and select “Login to Existing Account.” Input your Exness credentials to connect to our servers and start trading.

Mobile Application Setup

MT4 mobile apps for Android (version 4.0+) and iOS (version 9.0+) are available on Google Play and Apple App Store. Install the app and select “Login to Existing Account.” Search for “Exness-Real” server, then enter your account number and password. The app syncs with your account, providing full trading capabilities.

System Compatibility

MT4 supports Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS platforms with stable performance. Minimum internet speeds of 512 Kbps are required for real-time data flow. Use wired connections or reliable 4G networks in Uganda for best results. Our servers operate 24/7, ensuring uninterrupted service for traders.

Account Configuration and Server Connection

Server Selection Process

During login, MT4 displays available servers. Choose the server matching your account type: “Exness-Real” for standard accounts or “Exness-Pro” for professional ones. Selecting the closest server geographically reduces latency and enhances execution speed.

Connection status is visible in the bottom-right corner as green bars, signaling stable connectivity. Red bars indicate issues requiring server switching or network troubleshooting. We advise Ugandan traders to test ping times and select the fastest server available.

Account Verification Requirements

To unlock full trading features, complete identity verification through the Personal Area portal. Submit government-issued ID and proof of address documents. Verification typically takes 24 hours on business days. Unverified accounts face deposit and withdrawal restrictions per regulatory rules.

Managing Multiple Accounts

MT4 permits multiple accounts under one login. Use the Navigator window to switch between accounts easily. This feature suits traders managing different strategies or risk profiles. Account grouping helps maintain organized trading workflows.

Main Components Overview

The MT4 interface divides into four key areas: Market Watch, Navigator, Terminal, and Chart windows. Market Watch lists real-time quotes of tradable instruments. Navigator holds account information, indicators, and Expert Advisors for automation.

The Terminal panel displays active trades, account history, and news feeds. Chart windows present price movements with customizable timeframes and technical tools. Users can adjust layouts and save workspace configurations for consistent environments.

Keyboard Shortcuts

MT4 supports shortcuts to increase workflow efficiency. For example, press F9 to open a new order dialog or Ctrl+M to toggle Market Watch visibility. Customizing shortcuts helps Ugandan traders react swiftly in dynamic markets.

Customizing Your Workspace

Adjust chart colors, grid lines, and default timeframes from the Tools menu under Options. Enabling one-click trading accelerates order placement during volatile sessions. Set alerts for price movements via email, SMS, or push notifications for timely market updates.

Order Execution and Trade Management

Placing Market Orders

To open a market order, right-click a symbol in Market Watch and select “New Order.” Choose “Market Execution” for immediate entry at current prices. Specify the volume in lots; the minimum is 0.01 for standard accounts.

Set stop-loss and take-profit levels within the order window to automate risk control. Execution time averages a few milliseconds under normal conditions, with slippage rarely exceeding 1 pip on majors. Confirm details before clicking “Buy” or “Sell.” Orders appear instantly in the Terminal’s Trade tab.

Managing Open Positions

Monitor open trades inside the Terminal window. Each position shows real-time profit/loss, swap fees, and size. Right-click any trade to adjust stop-loss, take-profit, or close the position. Partial closures are available for trades larger than 0.01 lots.

Swap fees are applied daily at 23:59 server time and vary by instrument and direction. Positions held overnight incur these fees automatically. Our platform processes modifications instantly without requotes, ensuring smooth trade management.

Pending Orders and Stop Orders

MT4 supports several pending order types: Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, and Sell Stop. Use these to enter trades at specified prices outside current market levels. Set expiration dates for pending orders to avoid indefinite pending status. These tools help plan entry strategies effectively.

Technical Analysis Tools and Indicators

Built-in Indicators

MT4 offers 30 pre-installed technical indicators, including Moving Averages, RSI, MACD, and Bollinger Bands. Access them via the Navigator or Insert menu to apply on charts. Indicators assist with analyzing trends, momentum, volume, and volatility.

Custom Indicators

Our company provides exclusive custom indicators tailored to Exness trading conditions in Uganda. These can be installed into MT4’s “Custom Indicators” folder and offer enhanced analytical insights. Use them alongside standard tools for improved decision-making.

Charting Features

Charts support nine timeframes, from 1 minute to monthly intervals. Multiple charts can run concurrently for comprehensive market views. Drawing tools include trendlines, Fibonacci retracements, and support/resistance levels. Alerts can be set to notify upon pattern recognition or price crossing.

Automated Trading Setup

Enable automated strategies by attaching Expert Advisors (EAs) from the Navigator window. Our MT4 supports all MQL4-compatible EAs, allowing algorithmic trade execution based on preset rules. EAs operate continuously to exploit market conditions.

Configuring EAs

Prior to activation, adjust EA parameters in the Expert Properties dialog. Define maximum trade sizes, risk limits, and allowed trading hours. We recommend backtesting EAs on demo accounts using historical data before live deployment to ensure strategy viability.

EA Risk Controls

Set max drawdown limits and stop-loss thresholds within EAs to contain potential losses. Regularly update and optimize EAs to adapt to changing market environments. Our platform supports strategy optimization through built-in MT4 tools.

Deposit, Withdrawal, and Security

Funding Your Account

Deposit funds via the Personal Area or directly through MT4. Supported payment methods include Ugandan bank transfers, credit cards, and mobile money (MTN, Airtel). The minimum deposit is $10 USD. Local transfers typically clear within 1-2 business days, while international wires may take up to 5 days.

Mobile money deposits process instantly during operational hours. Deposit limits vary by verification status and payment type. We do not charge deposit fees; however, banks or payment providers might apply their own charges.

Withdrawal Procedures

Withdrawal requests are submitted through the Personal Area using the original deposit method. Processing occurs within 24 hours on business days. Bank transfers usually arrive in 1-3 days. Verification is mandatory before the first withdrawal to comply with regulatory standards.

Withdrawals above $50 via bank wire may incur a fee. Smaller or alternative payment methods process without extra charges. Monthly withdrawal limits depend on account type and verification level.

Platform Security Measures

Our platform uses 256-bit SSL encryption to secure all data transmissions. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available and recommended for account protection. MT4 maintains encrypted connections and monitors login attempts to prevent unauthorized access.

We advise using strong passwords and avoiding public or unsecured internet connections. Our security team continuously monitors servers for potential threats and issues regular updates to safeguard user data. Client funds are held separately in tier-1 banks to ensure financial safety.
